Montessori 4 Home- Overview
Save thousands each year by teaching Montessori at home
Montessori 4 Home brings the Montessori classroom right to your living room—making it easy for your child to learn through hands-on, meaningful activities at home.
Here’s how it works:
- Authentic Montessori materials packaged as a "learning kit" delivered to your door
Your child receives beautiful, high-quality wooden Montessori materials shipped directly to your home—just like those used in real Montessori classrooms.
- A Simple Lending Library Model
When your child is ready for the next set of learning materials, simply send the current ones back using the prepaid return shipping. Then, a new package arrives—no clutter, no guesswork.
- Personalized Learning Plan
Each child is carefully placed in the Montessori curriculum based on their age, academic readiness, and skill level, while also aligning with Common Core standards.
- Families with 3- & 4-year-olds will answer a simple questionnaire which includes interests, letter and number readiness, ability to focus and current family traditions.
- Families with K-6 students will receive a questionnaire, as well, but the child will be given language and math assessments to determine correct placement
- Complete Curriculum Support
With each learning kit, a new set of lesson plans will drop into your Google account in an Excel sheet. These Excel based lesson plans last 4-5 weeks and include when to give the lesson and room for observations from the parent. Each lesson has a link to a video to show how to use the materials. Any support materials will be emailed to you directly.
- Contents of your learning kit
Each learning kit contains 24-30 different Montessori lessons. These lessons are tailored to your child's personalized learning plan.
- Expert Guidance for Parents
You’re not doing this alone. Before your first box arrives, Montessori 4 Home will show you how to set up your learning environment, use the lesson plans and how to request the next set of materials through a Zoom webinar. Your subscription includes ongoing coaching and support, helping you understand how to guide your child and make the most of each material.
- Ongoing coaching and support include
- Bi-monthly 1:1 check ins and quarterly Zooms.
- Additional 1:1 sessions can be scheduled for an additional fee of $20.00
- Responsibility
- Family: The family is responsible for checking in the Montessori materials when they arrive, setting up the shelf or shelves for their child, and following the Excel lesson plans. When preparing for a lesson, watch the video linked to the lesson, gather any materials around the house not provided and practice giving the lesson. Once the lesson is given, stand back and watch to see what happens. Record what happens in the Excel sheet. Enter the date when the child has mastered the lesson with ease and accuracy. When ready for the next package, coordinate with Montessori 4 Home giving about a 10-day notice. The average learning kit will take 4-6 weeks to complete.
- Montessori 4 Home: M4H will coordinate with the family for the next package, assemble and ship the package to your home. Prior to your package arriving, an update page will be added to your Excel folder along with any supplement materials. If any issues arise such as damaged materials, incorrect video links or other issues, reach out immediately. 10 days before you need your next set of lessons, coordinate with Montessori 4 Home.
- Time
Because we follow the child, the child can set the pace of their learning, especially children who are ages 3 and 4. Many 3 & 4 year olds will work 2-3 days a week for 2-3 hours per day. K-6th grade students will work 4 days a week for 3-4 hours per day. The actual lessons will take about 30-45 minutes a day. The rest of the time will be spent practicing previous lessons, repeating them as much as needed and working on activities of their choice.
- Flexible, Child-Centered Learning
Your child learns at their own pace, building independence, confidence, and a love of learning—all from home.
- Receiving and returning your box
Your first box will arrive by your first day of school. This date will be selected once your child has enrolled in Montessori 4 Home. When you are ready for the next package, coordinate with Montessori 4 Home giving about a 10-day notice. During this 10-day window, a return packing slip will be sent to you. The family will return the package as soon as the new one arrives. If extra time is needed for a specific learning kit, the flexibility is built in. The monthly subscription allows the time needed to experience the learning fully.
Tuition and Fees
Montessori 4 Home only accepts credit cards
- Fees: Refundable deposit of $300 (paid in full at the end of services when ALL materials are returned undamaged with verification). The $300 material deposit will be refunded partially or in full depending on the condition of the final returned kit.
- Damaged or broken materials: Because an adult teaches the child how to use the materials in each learning kit, the child will show care and responsibility. In the likelihood of a piece being lost or broken, the family will be charged for only the cost of replacement to their credit card on file.
- Tuition: Each student enrolled in Montessori 4 Home will receive a school year (10 months) of personalized Montessori materials in a learning kit delivered to their home.
- Shipping: Shipping costs are built into the monthly subscription fee. The family WILL NOT be charged shipping costs to and from their home. Shipping labels will be sent to the email on file once a new box has been ordered.
- Total Cost: At the first of each month, tuition of $500 will be charged to the credit card on file and is not dependent on when the new material package arrives. Subscription fees are not refundable. Families will sign a 1-year agreement for the upcoming school year.
$500 x 10 months = $5,000 per year for the above services
